Aaratrika Ghosh

Aaratrika Ghosh, a 17-year-old student of Delhi Public School Newtown, Kolkata, is a multi-talented individual. Excelling as an orator, writer, quizzer, karateka and dancer, she has won the prestigious Blue Blazer Award for six consecutive years and secured an outstanding 97% in her ICSE Board Examinations. She also emerged as the topper in Sociology and History in Grade 11. Aratrika was also awarded the 100% attendance prize for her regularity. She serves as the Deputy House Captain, Prefect, and Literary Head of her school. She led her team to victory in the inter-house fest and played a key role in the success of Yuvakarshan, an inter-school fest, as its PR Head. Aaratrika holds 2kyu Brown-Black Belt in karate and a distinction in Kathak. She is also the Head Editor of her school magazine ‘Udaan’, and was awarded by UNESCO and Takhte for her essay in the book Year 2 AC (After Coronavirus) A Future Imagined by Youth: Essays by 100 Young Indians, Aratrika has earned a commendation from the John Locke Institute for a psychology research essay that was judged by a panel of senior academics from universities like Oxford and Princeton. Aaratrika has completed successful journalism internships at reputable news organisations, alongside contributing to community service initiatives like Project Abhay, focusing on inclusive education. Her contributions to the Young Advocates for Clean Air and Civic Innovator Fellowship showcase her commitment to positively impacting society.
