Netflix is venturing into satire with its upcoming film, Kathal, a comedy following a police investigation on … two stolen jackfruits!

The film revolves around an earnest police officer who is appointed by a politician to use all possible resources to locate and retrieve two kathals which were stolen from his garden. The trailer showcases its use of humour to talk about corruption, media and blind faith, delivering hard-hitting jabs on the limitations of our society, but with a smile. Starring Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Raaz and Rajpal Yadav, this film will premiere on May 19.
