1.   Anatomy of a Fall (Disney + Hotstar): This French legal drama directed by Justine Triet is centred around a writer, who is suspected of her husband’s murder, with their blind son being the sole witness. Receiving universal critical acclaim, the film won the Palme d’Or at last year’s Cannes, and was nominated for five Oscars this year, winning in the Original Screenplay category. If you want to watch a stimulating masterpiece, look no further. 

2.   Maamla Legal Hai (Netflix): This legal comedy which premiered earlier this month focuses on the hapless courtroom drama within District Court Patparganj, drawing inspiration from the strangest cases in real life. The absurdity is a front for the show’s examinations of India’s deeper realities, leading to tons of laughter, backed by some introspection. 3.   Madgaon Express (in theatres): If you’re looking to catch something on the big screen, Kunal Khemu’s directorial debut about a Goa-trip-gone-wrong is the perfect fit for you. This laughter riot about three friends united by a dream, but divided by perspective is reminiscent of Bollywood’s golden comedy era, with an ensemble cast that shares impeccable chemistry.
