Jennifer Lopez drops ninth studio album This is me… Now

The album, completed by June 2023, is part of a three-component project documenting the singer’s romantic life

Jennifer Lopez’s ninth studio album This is me… Now dropped on Friday, almost a decade after her last album, the pop icon has confirmed on social media.

Following the release of her eighth studio album A.K.A in 2014, Lopez had worked with other artistes on singles. However, she had not released a solo album in the past decade.

Spending around 20 billion USD on the album herself, Lopez collaborated with Nuyorican Productions and BMG Rights Management for her new album.

Earlier, on February 13, the singer shared a number of pictures of her look for the premiere of This is me… Now.

Heavily influenced by her relationship with husband Ben Affleck, the album focuses on the themes of love and self-healing.

The album’s track list has 13 songs — This Is Me... Now, To Be Yours, Mad in Love, Can't Get Enough, Not. Going. Anywhere., Rebound, Dear Ben Pt. II, Hummingbird, Hearts and Flowers, Broken Like Me, This Time Around, Midnight Trip to Vegas and Greatest Love Story Never Told.

The digital deluxe version consists of three extra songs, Rebound (featuring Anuel AA), Can't Get Enough (featuring Latto) and Bruno Martini remix of Can't Get Enough.

The first track from the album to be released as a single was Can’t Get Enough on January 10 this year.

This is me… Now album, completed by June 2023, is part of a three-component project documenting Lopez’s romantic life. The other two components are a narrative-driven musical film titled This Is Me... Now: A Love Story and a behind-the-scenes documentary called The Greatest Love Story Never Told. Both the film and the documentaryl have the whirlwind romance between Lopez and Affleck as a central element.

While the film and the album were released together on February 16, the documentary will release on February 27. The film currently is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Lopez is set to go across the USA on the This is me… Now tour from June 26 to August 31.
