For us, slam books and anonymous letters were a very crucial part of growing up but those are getting lost in today’s day and age. Alaap is ultimately a sweet story of love and I really hope the audience likes it.” “Now the audience will watch it and talk about it. On behalf of Surinder Films and the entire team of Alaap, I extend a heartfelt invite to everyone to watch the film,” said Abir Chatterjee who looked handsome as always in a sky-blue kurta. Swastika Dutta said: “We have a very sweet song in our film, Abohawa bole daye, Alaap has brought a refreshing change in the air.”

Alaap director, Premendu Bikash Chaki told t2: “With Alaap, I am trying to give the audience the option to watch an authentic Bengali film that can be watched with the entire family. Alaap is a sweet love story that will remind people of their roots. I believe, irrespective of how modernised we get, our feelings remain the same. Love, and affection are emotions that have not changed over the years but the route to reaching the feelings has changed. There is a subtle message underlying in the film and the audience will take something truly beautiful back home.”
