Delhi University's Kalindi College has released the official notification regarding the recruitment of Assistant Professors of various subjects including Journalism, Botany, Commerce, Economics and others.

DU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The National Eligibility Test (NET) shall be the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor.

For the disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, Languages and Physical Education, the eligibility criteria are as follows:

A.

i) A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR.

OR

B. The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:

(i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)

(ii) the Times Higher Education (THE)

(iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

For the disciplines of Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and other Traditional Indian Art forms like Sculpture etc, the eligibility criteria are as follows:

A.

1) Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian / Foreign University.

2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the national eligibility test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR. Provided that the Ph.D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in the University with effect from 1.7.2023.

B. A traditional or a Professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the subject concerned having a Bachelor’s Degree, who has:-

i) Studies under a noted / reputed traditional Master(s) / artist(s).

ii) Has been ‘A’ grade artist of AIR / Doordarshan

iii) Has the ability to explain, with logical reasoning the subject concerned

iv) Has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline concerned.

DU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2022: Application Fee

• Rs.500/- for UR/OBC/EWS category.
• No application fee will be charged to applicants from SC, ST, PwBD categories and Women applicants.

DU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2022: Salary

Candidates will be selected for the post on a permanent basis in various subjects/ departments of the college in the Academic Pay Level 10 ( Rs.57,700- 1,82,400/-) of 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix plus usual allowances as admissible under the rules of University of Delhi from time to time.
