The toppers' list acknowledges the brightest minds across various streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce.

The jubilant moment for West Bengal HS 2024 examinees has arrived! After months of anticipation, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has revealed the much-awaited results and stream-wise toppers list today, May 8. The competition was fierce with over seven lakh students taking the exams this year. The toppers' list acknowledges the brightest minds across various streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce.

This year, a total of 755324 students appeared for the examination, where 679784 passed bringing the total pass percentage to almost 90%(89.998%). Even in 2024, the Science stream (set one) results saw a commendable overall pass percentage of 97.19%, closely followed by the Commerce stream (set two) with 96.08%, and Humanities/Arts (set three) with 88.2%.

Out of the 58 students who are part of the top 10 merit list, 40 of them belong to the science stream, and the rest 18 are from the humanities stream.

SET 1 (Science)

The Science stream consistently boasts high pass rates, and this year 3022 students have secured a stellar 90% and above.

  • Rank 1: Avik Das - 496(99.2%)
  • Rank 2: Soumyadip Saha - 495(99%)
  • Rank 3: Abhisek Gupta - 494(98.8%)

SET 2 (Commerce)

The Commerce stream also saw 718 students secure 90% and above marks.

SET 3 (Humanities/Arts)

Even the Humanities stream saw high pass rates this year with 4462 students securing 90% and above.

The West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) exam is a significant milestone for students, and the results mark the culmination of their hard work and dedication.
