For Halloween, Epic Games has introduced a limited edition game mode called Fortnitemares. Apart from killing other players, you can now shoot Zombies that are spread all across the map. The map has also been decorated with mini ghosts hanging from lamp posts, huge spiders and pumpkins. The entire map looks extra dark and misty too, giving us the chills while playing the game. They have also introduced quite a few Halloween-based skins in the game.

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds

As part of its Halloween makeover, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has got several new features and we can’t stop playing. From four new skin sets and a new parachute aside, a new ‘night mode’ feature has been added, so now we can shoot at night too. There are a few changes in the map, making it look more eerie at night. PUBG Corp. has included Night-Vision Goggles, which is helping players to see in the dark. To top it all, the background music is also spooky. Here are the new skins and the parachute...

Killer Clown
(Third from left in the picture above)

Inspired by Pennywise from IT, this clown looks absolutely menacing. If you have a fear of clowns, it is truly going to get to you. This skin set comes with a red-haired wig, a clown face mask, a suit that has huge red buttons over a plaid shirt, a very colourful pair of pants, and some creepy-looking shoes. If you see the clown on the battlefield, you’ll surely hear “Hey Georgie” in your head.

Maniacal Butcher
(Second from left in the picture above)

The description of this skin in PUBG — ‘carve your way through the competition’ — will make you shiver. You have a butcher mask with a mouth that appears to be stitched together, a shirt and a butcher’s apron. You also have matching pants and shoes, full of blood stains. Playing PUBG with this skin and the machete as a weapon would be a real Halloween ordeal.

Brainiac

This affordable Halloween skin looks like a zombie version of the normal free skins. It is green in colour, with bright red eyes and a purple eye patch. Even his clothes are torn and patched. Some design elements of this skin have been inspired by Frankenstein and the common representation of the undead.

Deadfire

Probably one of the coolest skins that Fortnite have released this year, it is specially made for Fortnitemares. This skin is the first of its kind as it is a transformation outfit. It initially looks like a very dark and scary cowboy, but as you progress through the game and acquire more kills, the outfit changes. The complexion discolours into blue and there is a green aura and purple smoke coming out of his clothes. We would love to get our hands on this skin soon.

Bloody Nurse

“This nurse may be bloody, but she only wants to take care of you” — reads the description. We definitely don’t want to be taken care of by this psychopath nurse. The set contains a nurse cap and a blood-stained nurse’s uniform. Her mouth in bandaged. This is the only female Halloween skin.

Dusk

Dusk is a Season 6 Battle Pass skin available in Tier 71. She looks like a vampire with dark bloodshot eyes. You have an add-on Dusk Wing for her, which is available in the Battle Pass. Epic Games describes her as “a creature of the night that packs a dangerous bite”. This skin would also make for an easy but great Halloween costume.

Ancient Mummy

Mummies have always been a great Halloween costume and this will definitely remind you of The Mummy movie series. The entire body is wrapped in bandage, with one eye left open. If you are playing with this skin, your enemies will probably see you and scream “mummy!”.

Pumpkin Parachute

This Halloween, land on PUBG ground using this huge orange Pumpkin Parachute.

Hollowhead

Pumpkins and Halloween go hand in hand. This ghastly skin has the head of a pumpkin with blue glowing eyes and looks both cool and scary. The skin’s outfit includes pumpkin peels. As Hollowhead says “all tricks, no treats”, your enemies should not be shown any mercy if you are playing with this skin.

Skull Trooper

Every Fortnite fan is super excited as this skin has made a comeback. Though Skull Trooper skin was available last Halloween too, most of us could not purchase it later. It looks like a person wearing a skeleton costume. While last year the outfit was white, this year they added a purple and green glow. A female version, Skull Ranger, is also available. The Skull Trooper backpack, Ghost Portal, has been updated and now glows with more intensity with each kill you get in the game.
