Deb said his government was working in all sectors, including sport.

Altogether 1,100 clubs were provided sports kits of Rs 8,500 each so that the younger generation remains involved in sport, he added.

He highlighted the achie-vements of Tripura players in various games and acknowledged that the state team had become champions in the recently concluded Under-17 Boys Football Tournament (National School Games).

“Athletics tracks have been constructed in Panisagar and Badarghat. Udaipur will also have an athletics track. The tennis court, which has been set up at the Dasharath Deb state sports complex, is the most beautiful tennis court in the Northeast,” he added.

The chief minister said the education sector was making equal progress in both urban and rural areas after his government came to power and the Mission 30-30 was playing an important role in this regard.
