“Our company aims to add value to its products and present some quality teas from Assam that are rich in taste and contain health benefits,” said Ranjit Baruah, owner of the company.

Baruah has worked for two decades at different levels in tea gardens across the state.

According to tea experts, with scientific research continuing to validate the health benefits of regularly consuming tea, consumers are becoming more aware of the need to support a healthy lifestyle.

Consumers are now more likely to buy products that contain natural ingredients and flavours blended with tea, an expert said.

No Worries Tea is a superfine green tea blended with dehydrated butterfly pea flower and peppermint and lemon powder. “With a purple tinge and a light lemony taste, this tea smells fresh with the peppermint and leaves a feeling of accomplishment. It has mood-lifting properties and also acts as an anti-depressant and anti-ageing. It is best to have it in the afternoon or in the evening after a long day. This tea will make you feel fresh and soothe your nerves,” Baruah added.

The company aims to sell the No Worries Tea to corporate executives, housewives and businessmen.

On the other hand, Family Happiness Tea is white peony blended with sweetened dehydrated strawberry, blueberry, cranberry and rose petals. Cardamom dust is sprinkled on the blend.

“It has a rich fruity and floral taste, leaving your taste buds feeling happy. This tea can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Even children can enjoy the fruity flavour and derive the benefits of white tea, which is very high in antioxidants,” he said.

The company works with the state’s small tea growers to provide them with a steady market and remuneration for their produce.

“Our mission is to ensure their economic independence and promote farming as a career, especially for women growers,” Baruah added.
