Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society suspended and chargesheeted shooting coach Bhagirath Samai for allegedly sending a porn video clip to a fellow woman mentor. JSSPS CEO Basab Choudhury on Thursday said coach Samai was asked to reply to the allegations within 72 hours. A two-member probe team has also been formed to look into the matter.

Mishap kills 2

A pick-up van carrying 15 labourers on way to a construction site in the town met with an accident on Thursday morning, killing two on the spot. The overloaded van turned turtle near Charhi station on Ranchi-Patna highway around 10am. The deceased were identified as Shankar Mahto, 50, and Somar Mahto, 45. Six others who sustained injuries were admitted to Hazaribagh Medical College and Hospital.

Body with tattoo

Police on Thursday found the body of a youth from a roadside hotel near Saketpuri Chowk here. Eatery owner Anil Yadav, who saw the body, informed the police. Police found a tattoo inscribed with “Anil Shanti” on one hand of the deceased who has not been identified.

Bike mishap

Two bike-borne brothers, Akash and Ravi Agiwal, were injured when they rammed into a stationary tractor at Saharbera on NH-33 in Chandil on Thursday while trying to save a street dog.
