DPS Bokaro on Thursday awarded scholar badges and certificates to 375 students during a ceremony held at Ashwaghosh Kala Bhavan on the school premises.
Twenty nine students received gold medals for exceptional performance in the academic session 2018-19.
Mohammad Shakir, principal district and sessions judge of Bokaro, was the chief guest at the event called Nakshatra.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a welcome song and the school song.
The welcome address was delivered by head boy Samriddh Ranjan.
Students commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi through an orchestra performance titled Togetherness. The programme concluded with dance performance, Rudra Tandav.
The day also witnessed distribution of sweaters among 44 students of Deepansh Shiksha Kendra, a unit of the DPS Bokaro, where free education is imparted to poor students.
