Players from Calcutta steal the show on penultimate day of All India Tennis Association

Shivam Khanna and Keshav Goel will clash in the boys’ singles finals on Friday

Players from Calcutta stole the show on the penultimate day of the ongoing All India Tennis Association (AITA) under-18 championship series hosted by Tata Steel at the JRD Tata Sports Complex here on Thursday.

Calcuttans Shivam Khanna and Keshav Goel will clash in the boys’ singles finals on Friday. The girls’ final will see Calcuttans Sumeira Jaiswal and Rituja Saha.

In the semi-finals on Thursday, third seed Shivam defeated Odisha’s Steven Ankit Ekka 6-4, 7-6 (8-6). Second seed Keshav outclassed Bihar’s Vaibhav Singh 6-2, 6-3.

In the girls’ doubles under-18 final, Kinza Shaikha and Priyasakhi Sajnani of Bengal got the better of statemates Rituja and Tanisha.
