Bowlers were again on the money as they put Bengal in control in their Ranji Trophy Group A clash against Uttarakhand at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy ground in Dehradun.

Uttarakhand were reeling at 48/6, but their No.3 batsman Kunal Chandela (40 batting) and Akhil Rawat (32 batting) managed to put up some sort of resistance in the form of their seventh-wicket partnership that has added 56 so far.

Shahbaz struck with the new ball once again, giving Bengal the early breakthrough when he dismissed openers Jiwanjot Singh and Avneesh Sudha in his next over.

Brief scores: Bengal 387 (A. Easwaran 165). Uttarakhand 104/6 (P. Pramanik 2/17, A. Deep 2/21). At stumps, Day II.
