LG, which is known for its display technology, has announced its latest 4K projector, the CineBeam Qube, which will be officially unveiled at CES 2024 in a few days. With its minimalist look, it appears more like a work of art.
Weighing only 3.28 pounds and measuring 135mm square on one side and 80mm wide at the front, it can project up-to-120-inch images at full 4K resolution with a standard 1.2 throw ratio. There’s an RGB laser light source, a 450,000:1 contrast ratio and 154 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The biggest draw is the projector’s handle, which helps with the portability factor. The 360-degree rotatable handle helps with placement and LG is calling it “one of the smallest projectors available”.
When it comes to streaming content, the projector is powered by LG webOS 6.0 and offers access to all of the big streaming services, including Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix and YouTube. Also present is the company’s image-mapping function, which maps your space and displays an image on top of everything. Plus, you can enjoy LG’s automatic brightness adjustment algorithm, which is found in many of the company’s high-end projectors.
When it comes to ports, there is an unspecified number of HDMI eARC and USB-C ports, and a 3W built-in mono speaker.
CES will also see LG’s new MyView Smart Monitor family of displays, which is somewhat on the lines of Apple’s Studio Display. Inside, they feature the webOS platform, making them “smart” monitors. The specs are similar to the Samsung M8. It can be used as a smart TV with the included remote and all of the new MyView monitors will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, two built-in speakers and dual HDMI ports. The IPS panel should wow you and so will its three USB-C ports with 90W charging.
