Frankly, I am not a fan of the metaverse because it’s a largely misused term. So, I was somewhat hesitant when the mail about Britannia Coffeeverse popped up in my mail. The question is whether I learned anything new.

After going through the usual “now you have arrived” and “now you can”, I took “trips” to different places, like Turkey and Italy. There is also New York where I landed in Manhattan and was greeted by a giant fudge brownie. I chased yellow cabs and they just couldn’t run me down. Next up was Italy. The moka pot in Rome looks massive but Gina Lollobrigida was nowhere to be seen. Next was Turkey where, of course, Turkish coffee is constantly prepared. This is perhaps the most intricately designed part of the Coffeeverse.

I would like to call the entire exercise more of a “coffee run” and a “treasure hunt” than anything else. It kept me engaged for 30-odd minutes and perhaps a coffee nerd won’t have anything new to learn but it certainly offered a break from long hours of work. You too can give it a shot.
