Tripura board exams started on Monday

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE)-conducted Higher Secondary examination started on Monday. TBSE president Bhabatosh Saha said, “The exams are being conducted across 86 venues in 60 centers. Madhyamik examinations will be held at 77 centers in 158 venues from tomorrow.” Among the 27,142 candidates, 13,908 are boys while 13,234 are girls. The HS exam will continue till March 31 while the new syllabus Madhyamik till March 21. The matriculation examinations are on for candidates of old syllabus exam. It will end on March 27.

Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of office to the chairman and two newly inducted members of the Assam Public Service Commission at a programme at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Monday. Body found

Body of a man was recovered from a pond along the Tinsukia Bypass road on Monday. A driving licence was found near the body, identified as Bimal Kunwar of Nazira in Sivasagar district.
