If you’re planning to splurge on some couture this season, explore Tarun Tahiliani’s new line Painterly Dream at the designer’s Kolkata boutique at Wood Burn Park Road. The collection which was showcased at the FDCI Bridal Couture Week 2022 lines up intricate time-honoured patterns and modern silhouettes.

Tahiliani has worked with traditional embroidery techniques such as chikankari, pichwai, kashida, to introduce a couture line that’s rooted in heritage. The collection features tints inspired by nature like chikankari flowers embroidered over the handpainted petals, which represents a confluence of age-old craft with technology and modern tailoring. We spotted exuberant fish tail lehengas, weightless concept saris, ornate trail coats, tulle lehengas and more.
