While The Lord of the Rings’ new spin-off The Rings of Power has captivated viewers with its gorgeous visuals and story-telling, the franchise’s fans aren’t too impressed with the new show. The show which is apparently the most expensive show for Amazon Prime, takes viewers back to JRR Tolkien's fictional world of Middle-Earth. The events take place thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, which took place in the Third Age.
Based around the Second Age of Middle-Earth's history, when the rings were forged by Sauron, the eight-episode series is essentially a prequel. And Twitter isn’t too happy with the lack of diversity in the show and with some aspects of direction. How do you feel about the prequel? Let us know!
