Colin Farrell takes over from where he left off in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’

In an era of rampant
superhero fatigue, Matt Reeves’ The Batman came as a breath of fresh air
in 2022. The film not only showed the world’s best detective doing some
detective work for a change, but also lent fresh perspective to his rogue’s
gallery, with Colin Farrell standing out for his performance as the mobster,
Penguin. After a year of speculation, we finally have our first look of Oswald
Cobblepot’s very own spin-off show, titled, The Penguin. Max unveiled
the show’s official trailer, which shows Penguin in a pensive mood, as he
reflects upon a yesteryear gangster from his neighbourhood, who inspired him.
Set a week after the first film’s events, the show is expected to delve deeper
into Cobblepot’s rise to power in an underworld cluttered with the Maronis and
Falcones. Will Robert Pattinson’s Batman make an appearance? We can only hope.
While an official release date hasn’t been announced yet, we know that The
Penguin will premiere this fall.
