The legend of Indian football from the 1950s is something we have all heard of, and it’s time we got to watch some of it as well. Maidaan, much like Gold, follows the story and struggle of the Indian Football team through the eyes of its coach. Ajay Devgn essays the role of legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the man who changed the face of Indian football. Despite skepticism at home, Rahim vows to secure gold at the Asian Games or retire from coaching. A story of underdogs driven by passion, the trailer of Maidaan, directed by Amit Sharma, promises an engaging experience. Priyamani takes up the role of Rahim’s wife while Gajraj Rao also features in this Boney Kapoor production.
