Kamal Haasan is back as Senapathy in ‘Indian 2’

Kamal Haasan reunites with filmmaker S Shankar for the long-awaited sequel to the iconic Indian (1996) after 28 years. The gripping teaser unveils Haasan as an elderly statesman, delivering a powerful promise from a vintage telephone booth: “Wherever injustice happens, I will appear. The ‘Indian’ is immortal.” Against a backdrop of contemporary issues – corruption, violence, and unrest – citizens clamour for the return of the ‘Indian’. Haasan emerges on-screen, donning a Khaki uniform as the indomitable Senapathy, with a poignant image of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the background.
