DC seems to be going full throttle into its reinvent mode with the upcoming Blue Beetle film. The trailer introduces us to Jaime Reyes, a recent college grad searching for direction, before he crosses paths with an alien ‘Scarab’ which gives him superpowers beyond his wildest dreams. Interestingly, the clip has a lot of MCU origin story vibes, from quips to technique. Let’s hope that this DC superhero’s big screen debut on August 18 brings things back on track for James Gunn and Co!
