When we say, ‘Mexican’, we think tacos, mariachi bands and spicy food. Well, a new spot in the city has brought all of that and more under one roof at Mehico, on Ho Chi Minh Sarani. The new cantina and bar is nestled in a 126-year-old building with a striking white facade with arches and colonnades. Inside, large windows overlook a tortilleria where fresh tortillas are made. The 1,900 sqft space features Oaxacan-inspired décor, including murals and neon signs.
While the menu boasts authentic salsas, Baby Corn Elote, Aguachile Verde Con Camaron and more, it is also an introduction to native Mexican ingredients like nopal cactus.
Behind the bar, meet mixologist Manoj Singh, the mixologist conjuring up ingenious cocktails. With a flair for adding foam, freezing and fermentation to his creations, Manoj takes classic Margaritas, Centro Paradiso and more to a whole new level.
