Anupam Roy recently experienced a real-life ‘Boba Tunnel’

The singer shared an Instagram reel of Kolkata Metro’s new underwater tunnel

For most musicians, inspiration comes from the journey. But for Anupam Roy, his music seems to have inspired a journey. 

The musician shared an Instagram reel earlier today, riding through the landmark underwater tunnel in the newly inaugurated phase of Kolkata Metro’s East-West corridor, which has been extended to Howrah Maidan. The quintessential blue lights of the tunnel add an incredible underwater feeling, and Anupam’s song, Boba Tunnel, makes his reel even more immersive.  

Speaking to My Kolkata, Anupam said, “Kolkata Metro has always been a matter of pride for its citizens, and another jewel was added to its crown. We have traversed the Ganga before by land, but to move underneath it was surreal.” 

Commercial services along the Esplanade-Howrah Maidan stretch have commenced from today.
