Srijit Mukherji meets his Uma…

Is the director planning another flick with Sara Sengupta?

Remember little Sara Senguptaa from the film Uma? She’s a grown up girl now who walked the ramp for Dior Fall 2023 line. Sara, who is Jisshu and Nilanjanaa Senguptaa’s daughter, made her debut in the industry with Srijit Mukherji's Uma (2018). The film revolves around a little girl, Uma, who is terminally ill. While her life hangs by the thread, she wishes to experience Durga Puja. Unsure if she has the time to wait, her father decides to create a mock Durga Puja. Almost six years since the film’s release, Srijit reminisces about little Uma during a meeting with Sara. Posting a photo of him with her on Instagram, Srijit writes, “That. Is. My. Uma!!!” Do we see the glam girl in a second Srijit film? We can only wait! Till then go watch Uma on Hoichoi or Amazon Prime.
