If you used the internet during last year’s IPL season, chances are that you stumbled upon clips of a Mahendra Singh Dhoni doppelganger randomly dancing to the song, Bole Jo Koyal, originally sung by Falguni Pathak. The internet was full of memes spoofing Thala after every match, reusing the audio to the point where it became linked with the former Indian captain. As Dhoni looks forward to winning another IPL title with Chennai Super Kings, he broke the internet with the most meta brand endorsement of all. The advertisement for EMotorad’s E-cycle, which dropped earlier this week, showcases MSD enjoying a leisurely ride on an open road, while singing Bole Jo Koyal! Shared by Suresh Raina, the ad has since broken the internet, with fans marvelling at Thala’s sense of humour. We can’t believe the folks at the creative agency got him to agree to create this iconic piece of art!
