Guess what? Javed Akhtar had lunch at Trincas today!

The veteran lyricist and author was spotted at the Kolkata hotspot, having a merry time

Javed Akhtar just had lunch in Trincas. Looking dapper in a yellow kurta, the veteran screenplay writer, lyricist and author was captured all smiles, enjoying his time at one of the iconic eateries in Kolkata. Akhtar even met the jazz musicians, who were at Trincas for the weekend jams.

While it’s a bummer for Akhtar fans, who weren’t at Trincas today to meet the icon, here are a few facts about him that will make you even more proud of him:

1. He is the recipient of both Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan
2. Akhtar is also the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu and the Richard Dawkins Award 
3. He has won 5 National Film Awards and 13 Filmfare Awards
