Most cricketers are remembered for their prowess with either the bat or the ball, but Jonty Rhodes stands out for a different reason. Even for those who never witnessed Jonty’s magic on the field, firsthand, his reputation as a top-notch fielder is what remains. The former South African cricketer, is currently serving as the fielding coach at Lucknow Super Giants. Jonty is truly an inspiration for not just the players, but for anyone who wants to live a fitter life. In a recent Instagram post, Jonty showcased his fitness level, appearing as if he could still field for the LSG side in the ongoing IPL. He also shared a rather long caption which tells how he is as fit as a fiddle even at 55. He attributed his vitality to habits like rising early and adhering to a strict eating schedule and finishing meals before 7.30 pm. Taking 10k steps a day is also part of his routine along with hitting the gym for mobility sessions. Offering a valuable tip, Jonty suggested keeping phones away from the bed to promote greater activity levels. His message encourages others to follow suit, striving to improve by 1% each day — just as he does.
