We are counting down the last few days before Durga Puja officially begins and there’s just one thought in everyone’s minds – can’t Puja start already? As we wait for Sashthi with anticipation, there’s one classic Bengali song from the good ol’ days that deserves to be played on repeat. 

Sanat Sinha’s Ek Ekke Ek is all about the restlessness that Bengalis (especially the kids!) feel during the days leading up to the Puja. For Gen-X, this song is surely pure nostalgia and even for most first-time listeners, there will be few other songs as relatable as this one during these last seven days before Puja. Sinha’s melodious voice and the song’s catchy rhythm make the track stick in your mind straight away.
