Urooj Ashfaq has recently been making massive waves in the stand-up comedy scene, not just in India but globally as well. Not only did she have a dream-run with her show, Oh No! during her debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, she also received appreciation from THE Phoebe Waller-Bridge and bagged the Best Newcomer award at the festival. If this wasn’t all, she also featured as a guest at Sloss and Humphries On The Road, a podcast hosted by comedians Daniel Sloss and Kai Humphries. The episode is a hoot and a half, where Ashfaq discusses Indian culture with Sloss and Humphries. The trio break down India’s love for cows, share stories about majoritarian governance across borders, and talk about how audiences are different in their respective countries, with Sloss even breaking into some chaste Hindi. Listen for some insights, and a whole lot of laughs!
