Made following Kalman Cold Storage’s 70-year-old recipe, the sausages are stuffed with delicate pork mince and unique spices, making them worthy substitutes for the strings Kolkata devoured over the years. Pair them with a crispy fry, some bacon and a steaming cup of coffee — and your breakfast is sorted.

The Whole Hog Deli, run by Saurav Gupta, employs the same staff that ran Kalman Cold Storage on Free School Street and continues to weave in expert advice and guidance from Joy Ghosh, the man who ran the iconic brand for decades. Order up!
