Ever dreamt of serving Garlic Butter Oyster Mushrooms or Deep Fried Mushroom Fritters for your weekend guests, straight from your own garden or balcony? Digital creator Abhinav Yadav reveals a straightforward three-step method to grow Oyster Mushrooms at home in his new series, GIY - Grow It Yourself.

To kickstart the process, Abhinav begins by boiling a bunch of paddy straw for approximately 90 minutes. Once semi-dried, he crumbles the paddy straw and adds the mushroom spawn, placing the mixture in a large plastic bag, sealing it, and storing it in a dry spot. After 15 days of patiently leaving it untouched, a daily spray of water is all it takes. Fast forward a month, and your home-grown mushrooms are ready for harvest.
