Children’s brains are malleable, and with the right push, they can become spaces for boundless creativity. The Kolkata Children’s Literature Festival has been curated to instil the reading bug amongst children. If you have a budding or a voracious bookworm at home then block this weekend for this literary event.

Authors, illustrators and performance storytellers will gather for workshops, games and sessions. Categorised for different age groups from three to 12 years old and beyond, the events range from storytelling sessions and mime shows to creative writing workshops and author interactions. There will also be exciting prizes for the kids!

Devdutt Pattnaik, Abir Chatterjee, Sudeshna Roy, Soha Ali Khan and Abhijit Guha, among others will be present for insightful and fun sessions over the course of two packed days on January 13 and 14. The event, which will be inaugurated by NKDA chairman Debashis Sen on January 12, will be held at the Jain Futuristic Academy in New Town.
