It's time to turn up as six popular Bengali bands come together for a gala music concert on Sunday July 16. Band-E-Mic will be held from 1pm to 9pm at Netaji Indoor Stadium. Starting from 1 pm. My Kolkata is the digital partner for the event.
Lakkhichhara, Fossils, The Anupam Roy and Band, Fakira, Cactus and Chadrabindoo will be seen performing at the event.
The main idea behind organising the event is to present this glorious genre of music to the future generation. “It’s been several years that all these prominent bands have shared a common platform. People are forgetting to experience the different styles of Bengali band music at one event. We also want the future generation to appreciate this genre,” said Prasanta Kumar Sur, one of the organisers, adding that they have been receiving great responses for the show.
Band-E-Mic will see Fossils singing one of their unpublished songs. On Sunday, each band will get about 45-75 minutes on stage. The tickets are available both online and offline. So, hurry and grab your seat!
