On this day, the vessel Clyde sailed from Kolkata, with George McCall as captain. It was bound for London, on a voyage for the British East India Company.
Built at a cost of Sicca Rupees 76,000, Clyde had been launched in Kolkata in 1802.

It was listed in 1803 as belonging to the port of Kolkata with George McCall, master, and Gilmore & Wilson, owners.
Clyde reached Saint Helena on May 12, 1802, and arrived at Blackwall on July 22, 1802.
It entered Lloyd’s Register in 1802 with G. McCall, master. Before Clyde left for its return voyage it paid £1037 13s7d on September 3, 1802, to two establishments for outfitting. It got lost in 1804 on a voyage to China.
