Vidyasagar Setu repair work: Kolkata Police releases diversion plans

To be effective between 1am and 3am on December 21

Due to repair and rehabilitation work at Vidyasagar Setu, Kolkata Police has issued a traffic diversion plan for December 21. In a notification, Kolkata police commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal has mentioned the details.

Movement of goods vehicles shall be restricted between 1am and 3am on December 21 along Vidyasagar Setu and its ramps, Kidderpore Road, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road from Zeerut Island further West, St Georges Gate Road and Strand Road.

All west-bound vehicles, coming along Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road from Zeerut Island side will be diverted from Turf View via Grade Road towards Hastings Crossing to avail St Georges Gate Road-Strand Road-Howrah Bridge or may take right turn from Hastings Crossing for Kidderpore Road.

All vehicles from Kidderpore Road will be diverted from Y-Point on Kidderpore Road towards 11 Furlong Gate. Traffic will also be diverted through arterial roads as and when required.

The bridge work will be completed in three months.
