Suveer Kapoor of Kolkata won the Protouch Masters 2022, the ninth leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) Eastern India Amateur Golf Feeder Tour 2022, which was held at the Tollygunge Club on August 4 and 5. Kapoor’s total score was 141, one over par and four strokes better than another Kolkata amateur, Sanu Das, who shot 145.

Kapoor had a remarkable second day of golf at Tolly's greens, as he was behind the leaders group after round one, but came back superbly with three birdies on the back nine. The tournament's favourite, Hyderabad's Abhishek Mitra, won the Mid-Amateur championship with a score of eight over par 148, followed by Kolkata's Amit Kumar Saraogi on 163.

Veteran golfer Ashit Luthra won both Senior and Super-Senior categories with a score of 157, followed by Krishna Kant Shah’s 166 in the former section and Mithileshwar Jha’s 192 in the latter section.

This leg of the tournament saw two more categories: the over-13 juniors won by Dishan Ghosh’s 179 and the under-13 juniors won by Aarav Ganguly’s 186, followed by Karmanye Mahajan’s 194.

The Protouch Masters 2022 was sponsored by Medica, The Reliable Group, Equipped and Wow! Momo. The outdoor media partner was Balaji Ads. The tournament was managed by Protouch Sports.
