In order to tackle rush, the Eastern Railway will continue with the services of the 05639/05640 Silchar-Kolkata-Silchar festival special train as per its existing stoppages & timings.
The 05639 Up Silchar-Kolkata festival special will leave Silchar on Thursdays between November 10 and January 12, 2023 (10 trips) while the 05640 Kolkata-Silchar festival special will leave Kolkata on Fridays between November 11 and January 13, 2023 (10 trips).

Tickets for the Kolkata-Silchar festival special (05640) are available through the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and the website. In addition to the Mail/Express fares, special charges will be realised.
Concessional booking is not allowed and Tatkal quota is unavailable.
