East-West Metro service
The timetable of trains on the Sealdah-Sector V stretch of East-West Metro will have minor changes from Monday. There will be no change in the number of trains. "From Monday to Friday, trains will run on ATO (Automatic Train Operation) mode. Running time will be reduced by two minutes for the west-bound (Sector V to Sealdah) trains.
The running time will be 18 minutes instead of the present 20 minutes. For east-bound (Sealdah to Sector V) trains, running time will be reduced by three minutes, which means 17 minutes for a run instead of 20 minutes," Metro Railway said. "On Saturdays, trains will run according to the existing timetable," said an official. The first train will leave Sector V at 7.05am instead of 7am from Monday. The first train from Sealdah will continue to leave at 6.55am. There will be no change in the timings of the last trains, which leave Sealdah at 9.35pm and Sector V at 9.40pm.
