Kolkata police will impose traffic restrictions on and around Park Street on Christmas and Christmas Eve.
The Telegraph compiled a list of things one should know before heading in that direction.

Christmas Eve (Sunday)
- Two-way traffic will be allowed on Park Street and Shakespeare Sarani from 2am on Monday, instead of 10pm.
- Queensway will be one-way, from east to west, as and when required.
- Cathedral Road will be closed to vehicles as and when required.
- North- and south-bound vehicles will ply along JL Nehru Road from the Ho Chi Minh Sarani crossing till the AJC Bose Road crossing.
Christmas (Monday)
- Park Street (between the Chowringhee Road crossing and the Wood Street intersection) will be closed to vehicles on Monday evening as and when required.
- Only east-bound traffic will be allowed on Ho Chi Minh Sarani.
- Two-way traffic will be allowed on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road between the Royd Street crossing and the Park Street crossing.
- Vehicles will not be allowed on Russell Street and on Little Russel Street from the Theatre Road crossing as and when required.
- Park Street- and AJC Bose Road-bound vehicles from Outram Road will be diverted through Ho Chi Minh Sarani, Camac Street, Short Street and Wood Street to reachPark Street.
- Park Street-bound vehicles from Mayo Road andJawaharlal Nehru Roadwill move through Kyd Street, Free School Street,Royd Street and Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road to reach Park Street.
- South-bound vehicles along Jawaharlal Nehru Road intending to go further south from the Park Street crossing will use the Park Street flyover or turn right on Mayo Road and move through Dufferin Road, Outram Road and Kidderpore Road.
- North- and south-bound vehicles will ply along Camac Street from Ho Chi Minh Sarani till the Short Street-Camac Street crossing.
No Parking
Parking will not be allowed on the following roads on Christmas
- Park Street (from JL Nehru Road crossing till Wood Street crossing)
- Middleton Street
- Short Street
- Wood Street (between Short Street intersection and Park Street crossing)
- Ho Chi Minh Sarani
- Camac Street (from Middleton Street crossing till Short Street crossing)
- Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road (between Royd Street crossing and Park Street crossing)
- Little Russell Street
- Free School Street
- Elliot Road
Tram restriction
Tram movement will be stopped on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and Elliot Road from noon on Sunday and Monday.
Trams will ply in the morning on both days.
