“Registrations for all categories — 25K, open 10K, Ananda Run (4.2 km), Senior Citizens’ Run (2.3 km), and Champions with Disability (2.3 km) — will start from 7am on Sunday at tatasteelkolkata25k.procam.in and will stay open until November 30 11.59pm, or till running places are filled, whichever is earlier,” said a formal communication from the organisers.

The last edition of the race took place in 2019, with the participation of over 15,000 people.

“We expect more people this year,” said Vivek Singh, joint managing director of Procam International, one of the organisers.

TSK 25k is the first run in its category to be certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races in India.

In Kolkata, the event is also credited to take running to the masses.

“It is wonderful to be back. TSK25k has grown to become one of the most important events in our country’s running calendar,” said Chanakya Chaudhary, vice-president (corporate services), Tata Steel.

“The marathon celebrates the vitality of Kolkata and a return to running for many,” said Amit Sinha, country head-branch banking, IDFC FIRST Bank, the associate sponsors.
