5/5 A group of intellectuals protested outside Amartya Sen's residence, Pratichi, in Santiniketan on Saturday against the eviction notice issued to the Nobel laureate over a plot dispute. Visva-Bharati had issued an eviction notice to Sen on April 19 accusing him of “illegally occupying” 0.13 acres or 5,500 sq ft of land on the campus, as per an agency news report. The notice asked Sen to vacate the land by May 6. However, on Thursday, Calcutta High Court put an interim stay on the notice and set May 15 as the next date for a hearing that will be held at a court in the Birbhum district
