1/4 Sister Nivedita University (SNU) on Monday awarded honorary D'Litt degree to sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, author Manishankar Mukherjee aka Shankar and industry doyen Ratan Tata among others. Amjad Ali Khan and Shankar received the awards from West Bengal governor C.V. Ananda Bose, who was the chief guest on the occasion. Ratan Tata, however, could not be present. Amaan Ali Bangash was spotted in the audience, clicking a picture of his father. Also in the audience were with actress Gargi Roychowdhury, Sudhangshu Sekhar Dey, president of Publishers and Booksellers Guild, and Tridib Chatterjee, general secretary, Publishers and Booksellers Guild
