1/4 After the successful completion of the 44th Chess Olympiad and Asian Continental Championship, the next big event will be held between November 29 and December 4 at the Bhasha Bhawan Auditorium, National Library. Both the men and women's sections will have an equal prize fund of $41,500. The five-day Rapid and Blitz tournament will feature 22 of the world's best, including India's top players. A draw of the lots ceremony was held at Taj Bengal on Monday in the presence of tournament ambassador Viswanathan Anand, Dibendyu Barua and other dignitaries.

3/4 Aviation Safety Week, 2022, is being observed at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata, from November 28 to December 2 to promote safety awareness among Airport Authority of India's (AAI) employees & stakeholders. A joint inaugural ceremony of the Aviation Safety Week by Kolkata Airport & the Airport Authority of India headquarters was held on Monday, November 28, 2022. It started with lighting of lamps by C. Pattabhi, airport director, Kolkata, in the presence of AAI officers of Kolkata Airport, eastern region headquarters and stakeholders. Various activities will be held to promote the importance of safety in the aviation sector
