West Bengal minister for Department of Forest Affairs and Non-Conventional and Renewable Energy sources, Jyoti Priya Mallick, inaugurated the flower show. The four-day flower show will end on Monday

However, the solid waste management department of the city’s civic body had received the highest allocation in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation’s 2022-23 budget. In his budget speech, mayor Firhad Hakim had spoken about launching waste segregation at source for all 144 wards in the city
