Eastern Railway has announced two special trains to tackle the Durga Puja rush during October.
The trains will ply between Howrah — Raxaul and Sealdah — Gorakhpur.
Howrah-Raxaul Puja Special
The 03043 Howrah-Raxual Puja Special will leave Howrah at 10.55pm on Saturdays between October 1 and October 29 and reach Raxaul at 2.15pm the next day.
The 03044 Raxaul – Howrah Puja Special will leave Raxaul at 3.45pm on Sundays between October 2 and October 30 and reach Howrah at 7.30am the next day.
The trains will stop at Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur and Jasidih stations. The train will make five trips from Howrah to Raxaul and vice versa in October.
Sealdah – Gorakhpur Puja Special
03131 Sealdah – Gorakhpur Puja Special will leave Sealdah at 11.05pm on Sundays between October 2 and October 30 and reach Gorakhpur at 5pm the next day.
03132 Gorakhpur – Sealdah Puja Special will leave Gorakhpur at 7.05pm on Mondays between October 3 and October 31 and reach Sealdah at 1.30pm the next day.
The trains will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur and Jasidih stations. The train will make five trips between Sealdah and Gorakhpur and vice versa.
Eastern Railway will open bookings for these special trains soon.
