West Bengal tourism minister Babul Supriyo was admitted to Woodlands Hospital with chest pain on Sunday February 12 evening. He is under observation.

Supriyo, who is being treated by Dr Saptarshi Basu, experienced chest pain and uneasiness and was rushed to the hospital. The minister underwent angiography, ECG and echocardiography. “Even as the echocardiography report has not revealed much, his ECG revealed minor changes,” sources said.

Supriyo has reportedly developed a minor coronary artery disease. “Currently, there is no need for a stent or bypass, however, he will remain under observation,” the source added.
