‘Wildflower’ looks so fresh. Though it has the Namrata Joshipura signature, it is also very different. Tell us how you conceived this line.
The ‘Wildflower’ collection was born out of a desire to encapsulate the essence of summer — a season that radiates vitality, renewal, and the joy of sunlit days. While staying true to the distinct Namrata Joshipura signature, this line explores a fresh perspective by drawing inspiration from the vibrant energy of the season. The diverse styles within the collection are a celebration of individuality, reflecting the dynamic and ever-changing beauty of wildflowers in full bloom.
What’s a typical summer day fashion line for you?
A typical summer day fashion line for me embodies lightness, comfort, and a playful spirit. I believe in creating pieces that effortlessly transition from day to night, with flowy silhouettes and breathable fabrics. The ‘Wildflower’ collection, in particular, mirrors this philosophy by offering styles that are not only chic and stylish but also adaptable to various occasions during the warm summer months.
What are summer staples for you?
Summer staples, in my view, are comfortable silhouettes, and a burst of vibrant colours. Essential pieces would be flowy dresses, floral-print dresses, light embroidery, sunglasses, and versatile footwear that can complement a variety of outfits. These staples form the foundation of a wardrobe that effortlessly combines style with the ease required for the summer season.
