Statement jewellery is as timeless as monochromes and when the two come together, fireworks happen. Conceptualised by stylist Sumit Sinha and executed by a bombshell team comprising hair and make-up pro Prasenjit Biswas and artist Sneha Ghosh, with Sumit leading from the front, the shoot featured stunning jewellery by Studio Metallurgy, which were no less than pieces of art. The muted quietness of Baraka, a contemporary Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurant at Quest mall gave us the corners to create our frames. Of drama, romance and fierce elegance.

The jewellery was the hero of the shoot. We executed the shoot as a team. I felt the jewellery had an Egyptian vibe. The frames were largerthan-life. And, I think Sneha’s (Ghosh) personality complemented the jewellery. Working with Prasenjit is always a joy as we totally get each other’s vibes. I love stacking. Though it does depend on your personality as to what you can pull off, you can never go wrong and I feel it’s trending. Go OTT and layer it up. Be fearless -- Sumit Sinha, stylist. I absolutely love jewellery shoots because there is so much to explore in terms of hair and make-up. For these kinds of looks, the make-up and hair have to be high-fashion. And since Sneha was our muse, I was confident that even if Ididn’t put a drop of makeup on her, she would still look fantastic. If you are doing OTT jewellery, try to keep everything else clean for balance --- Prasenjit Biswas, hair and make-up pro
